WILLIS JAY WELLER, age 85 of Hill City, MN died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. Willis was born in 1925 in Iowa and grew up in Hill City, MN. He was a long time resident of Grand Rapids and for the past several years he has lived in Hill City. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Helen in 2007; son, Jim in 1994; four grandchildren, Willis W. Weller, Angela Weller and 2 infant grandchildren; and five siblings.
Survived by – One Daughter – Jeannie (Don) Wahlstrom of Shakopee, MN; Four Sons – Dennis (Vicki) Weller of Maricopa, Arizona, Duane (Rose) Weller of Buffalo, MN, Dave (Bonnie) Weller of St. Francis, MN, and Jeff Weller of Hill City, MN; One Brother – Wayne (Irene) Weller of Grand Rapids, MN; Three Sisters – June (Bill) Salo of Grand Rapids, MN, Doris (Percy) Jensen of Oregon and Joyce (Bill) Brest of South Carolina; Fifteen Grandchildren and Numerous Great Grandchildren
A Memorial Service for Willis and his wife Helen will be Friday, September 10th at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids. Rev. Marva Jean Hutchens will officiate.
Burial will be in Hill Lake Cemetery, Hill Lake Township, MN.
