William F. Hesidenz, 83, formerly of Carbon Center, died early today at the Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 2, 1923, in Carbon Center, he was a son of William and Catherine Hesidenz.
He worked at the Pullman Standard until the plant closed. He then worked for the Butler Forge and the Kenny Hall Machine Co. as a machinist. He also was self-employed in construction.
Mr. Hesidenz was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and the VFW Post 249.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are four sons, Gerald Hesidenz of Saxonburg, David Hesidenz of Prospect and Linus and Jeff Hesidenz, both of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Nancy) Fannie of Saxonburg, Mrs. Ronald (Debbie) Green of Butler and Mrs. James (Cindy) Schnur of Herman; and a sister, Delores "Lori" Cornetti of East Butler. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
His wife, Dorothy Jean Kildoo Hesidenz, whom he married Oct. 2, 1946, died, April 23, 1994. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and a grandson.
HESIDENZ - Friends of William F. Hesidenz, who died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
