Farmer. Son of Michael and Lydiann H. (Allewelt) Bucher. Married Francis Elizabeth Ulery on 5 Sep 1889 in Clark County, OH. Father of Nellie May b. 16 Dec 1891, Ulery Jacob b. 6 Dec 1895, Marjorie Leah b. 24 Aug 1903 and Georgia Frances b. 5 Aug 1906.

GEORGE S. BUCHER FUNERAL IS SET FOR FRIDAY
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Brethren Church, New Carlisle, for George S. Bucher, 82, of New Carlisle, Route 3, who died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield City Hospital, where he had been a patient since November 27. The Rev. Robert l. Sherfy and the Rev. Albert Naylor will officiate.
The body was sent to Trostel funeral home, New Carlisle, and was sent Thursday morning to the Bucher residence, where friends may call until 10 a.m. Friday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the services.
Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends were asked to omit flowers.
A life-long farmer, Mr. Bucher was the son of the late Michael Bucher and Lydia Olewalt Bucher.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Paul Marshall of Cincinnati, Mrs. Russell Barnhart of New Carlisle, Route 3, and Mrs. Leonard Cochran of Valdosta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
