Willie D. Smith, 91, of Midway died Jan. 9 in Madisonville. Funeral services were held at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel on Jan. 11. Lanier Stevens officiated. Burial followed at Midway City Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born March 28, 1912 in Midway to H.A. and Tish (Vaughn) Crocker. She later married J.B. Smith. She attended the North Madison Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Smith. Her survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Wanda and Gay McLain of Madisonville and Mary McKinney of Sulphur Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Betty Smith of Midway and James Smith of Dallas; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
