CLARENCE M CAMMACK "Casey": Platteville; 86, died Saturday, 19 Apr 2008, at his home. He was born on 7 Feb 1922 in Waterloo Twp, son of Joe & Edith (Jones) Cammack. He married Lois O Baker on 21 Apr 1948 in Lancaster. Clarence served in the Army during World War II. He served his country from 20 Oct 1942--09 Nov 1945, where he was in the 33rd Quarter Master Pack Troop & Merrills Mauraders in Burma, India & China. He was a member of American Legion Post 473, Potosi. He worked for the Grant County Highway Department for 19 years & later as a mechanic for Cammack Motors, Platteville, from 1964 to 1988. He is survived by his wife, Lois-Platteville; 3 children, Kathy (Steve) Millar-DePere WI, Clark (Joyce) Cammack & David (Karen) Cammack-both of Platteville & 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Joseph, Eugene, Clyde & Bob Cammack; & 7 sisters, Jessie Burrows, Blanche Buss, Elizabeth Schaal, Katherine Fullbright, Ella Elmer, Virginia Vesperman and Delphia Slack. Private graveside services will be at a later date in The Cassville Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 473, Potosi. The Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville, is in charge of arrangements.
