Jeffrey Lynn Nixon, 49, of Arab died Friday, April 6, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Nixon was born April 16, 1957, in Marshall County to Melvin H. and Annie Jo Duncan Nixon. He was married to the former Jeanne Lynn Anderson for 28 years.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and son. He was a 1975 graduate of Arab High School and was an engineer at Hyco in Arab, where he worked for 31 years.
He is survived by his wife: Jeanne Nixon of Arab; children: Scott Nixon and Laura Nixon; mother: Annie Jo Nixon; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rickey and Selma Nixon, Terry and Beverly Nixon, Randy and Susan Nixon and Paul Nixon; sister and brother-in-law: Velda and Larry Gobble; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Sue and Robert Anderson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Joanne and Ed Nahay, Judy and Dean Clark and David and Tammy Anderson; and 21 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two nieces: Holli Nixon and Tobi Nixon.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Arab-Heritage Funeral Chapel, with Mike Shirley officiating. Burial was in Brookwood Cemetery, with Arab-Heritage Funeral Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Jesse Cole, Bobby Jones, Jason Hill, Malcolm Landers, David Richards and Art Zimmerman.
