A native of Bethany, Mo., Mrs. Pool lived most of her life in St Joseph. She operated a boarding home at 214 Texas Ave. A member of the Methodist Church, she was the widow of Ray Pool.
Survivors include her mother, Nellie Thompson of St Joseph; three daughters, Linda Gill of St Joseph, Barbara Glass of Riverside, Calif., and Margie Alexander of Lincoln Park, Mich.; one son, Norman Caldwell of Taylor, Mich.; one stepson, Raymond Pool of Yankton, S. D.; two brothers, Milton Thompson of Nice, Calif., and Jesse Thompson of Alpena, Mich.; two sisters, Betty McCree and Bertha Farham, both of Liberty, Mo.; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Wednesday morning at 11 at Odd Fellows Public Cemetery. Services will be under direction of the Rupp chapel." St Joseph Gazette, May 14, 1979
