Margaret C. Gentzler
YORK - Margaret C. (Jones) Gentzler, 85, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in York. She was the beloved wife of Joseph C. Wolfe, who died in 1982, and Edward W. Gentzler, who died in 2005.
A funeral service in celebration and thanksgiving for her life will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Matthew Stillman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Joseph at St. Paul Wolf's Cemetery in York. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on July 3, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Samuel G. Jones and Sarah (Wagner) Jones.
She graduated from West York High School in 1943 where she was head cheerleader. She worked as a secretary at the former York Tape Printers and York Concrete and Septic Tanks and retired in 1987. She was also a longtime member of St. Paul (Wolf's) Church in York.
Margaret is survived by her step-son, Gary L. Gentzler of Tampa, Fla.; her step-daughter, Karen L. Stambaugh of Shippensburg; a niece, Jacqueline Jones of Alexandria, Va.; five step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale S. Jones of Evansville, Ind.
