Woodrow was the son of Miles "Mit" Anderson and Annie Lee Vernon Anderson. Woodrow married Lella Belle Rhodes on Nov 30th, 1933. Lella died in Tallahassee, Florida possibly buried there. They had three children:

Kenneth's name is on the same grave marker as his father, but has a marker with his wife Judy in the same cemetery.

Funeral services for Woodrow Wilson Anderson of Medon, were held Thursday at one o'clock in the Vernon Cemetery.

He was the son of M. M. and the late Anna Lee Anderson, and was married to Miss Lela Bell Rhodes in 1933.

Woodrow was a good neighbor and a kind friend to all with whom he came in contact, and will be greatly missed by the people of his community.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Bonnie Ruth Anderson; two sons. James Kenneth and Don Melton Anderson; his father, M. M. Anderson of Medon: two sisters, Mrs. Lucian Cook, Lexington, and Mrs. Ray Edward Vernon of Medon: and one brother, J. W. Anderson of Memphis.

The following served as pallbearers: Sam McMaster, Alvin and Floyd Rhodes, Robert Keliy, Cecil Roark and Walter Marshal.
