NEW LEXINGTON - Audrey M. Carney Price, 92, of 223 W. Brown St., passed away Saturday May 10, 2008.
She was born May 5, 1916, in New Lexington. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2070 and New Lexington Elks 509.
Audrey is survived by her children, Martha Brame of New Lexington, Marlyn Everett of Bakersfield, Calif. and Homer G. Carney of New Lexington; seven grandchildren, Diana (Randy) Turnage, Debra Willey, Ronald (Martha) Brame, Jeffery (Jill) Brame, Joe Carney, Gary (Brenda) Carney and Chris Carney; 16 grandchilden; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Abram of Tennessee; a sister, Eleanor Hardin of New Lexington; sisters-in-law, Goldie Talbot Phillips and Gertrude Carney of New Lexington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruth Starner Abram; two sisters, Vina (Charles) Potter and Marie (Charles) Bond; two sons-in-laws, William Brame and John Everett; and two grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington, with Eagles services at 7 p.m. and a Christian vigil at 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at St. Rose Catholic Church, with Father Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice or to the Father John Dreese Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
