Mary raised her children in a house next door to her parents, on Dundaff St near Trinity Episcopal Church which they all attended. Later, she resided at Mill Street near the Lindsay & Early Foundry where her sons worked.
Hardly sick a day of her life, she fell and broke her hip when she was in her eighties, and still managed to get around her house until about three weeks before her death.
At the time of her death (one day short of her 85th birthday), Mary was the oldest living member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
