STREATOR - Aldon M. Turpin, 67, of 1306 1/2 S. Wasson St., Streator, died a 3:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6, 1997) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, rural Manville. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born Aug. 31, 1930 at Henry, a son to Elizia and Margaret "Maggie" Tyree Turpin. He married Josephine "Chick" Aldorisio Turpin April 12, 1968. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Allen Turpin, Lutz, Fla.; a daughter, Marcia (Mike) Henderson, Las Vegas, Nev.; six stepchildren; a sister, Loretta Fagg, Streator; two brothers, Elizia Turpin, Streator; and John Turpin, Tampa, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
