Son of Joseph & Amalie Mathilde Moegelin Rittimann. Brother of Alvina (w/o Valentine Anderlitch & Wilhelm Poss), & Henry J (h/o Mary Haufler). Husband of Mary "Mollie" Stewart, with her the children were: Martha Matilda (w/o Lawrence Smith), Emma (died an infant), George Albert (h/o Alice Grace Unknown), William Edward, Herman Joseph (h/o Hattie Cox) (Wm & Herman were twins), Anna Belle, Josephine, Benjamin Louis (h/o Myrtle J Unknown), Ada (w/o Hermann Schaefer & D H Stansell) & Manda Melinda (w/o Barney Barretta). His second wife was Edwijen Hernandez about 1896 or '97 & with her the children were: Lottie (died an infant), Samuel, Mary Jane (w/o W C Keller), Alice (w/o Joe Sands), Antonette (w/o James E Rhodes), Mike Michael, Daniel Louis (h/o Julia Alfano), Lena (w/o John Elizondo), Adam h/o Rosie San Devol), & Rudolph Ernest (h/o Marcella Elizabeth Osburg. NOTE: He is supposedly buried in the Rittimann Family Cemetery off Blanco Rd, either in San Antonio or near Bulverde along with his parents. We have not been able to locate this cemetery.
