Glenn's great-grandfather, Isaac Gold, came into the area as a Methodist minister. His grandfather, Tom Gold, was born in the Manse at Paisley, Ontario. Tom was for many years leader of the Uxbridge Business Men's Bible Class. He operated a fur store on Melinda Street in Toronto.
