*Military Information was taken from his military file. It says he was 18, now weather that is true or not, I don't know.

Enlisted in company F, 29th Infantry, August 31, 1864, at St. Charles, for 3 years, age 18. Mustered Sept. 3, 1864. Corporal. Mustered out at Murfreesboro, TN, Sept. 6, 1865.

His obituary states that he died February 8, 1907, which is wrong since we have a letter he wrote on October 26, 1907. He married Arabella Hamill on February 18, 1866 in St. Charles, Saginaw Co., MI, by Justice of the Peace, Freeman Lytle.

His Funeral was on February 13, 1908 at the Brant Hall. He was later buried under GAR auspices in Brant Cemetery (Old Plot). He has two grave markers. One is where is body is (Section #3, Row #20) and the other one is at the foot of that Row (Section #3, Row #21)
