Fort Bragg was deeply saddened this morning when the news of the untimely death of Chester A. Scott was passed about.
Deceased was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A.(H.) Scott and was a native of this coast, having been born in Cleone on March 8, 1885.

Chester Scott Dies
Chester Scott of Fort Bragg died in that city Wednesday morning. The deceased was a nephew of County Treasurer Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson went over to attend the funeral. Mr. Scott had contracted deptheria while on a visit to San Francisco in May and the disease paralyzed the muscles of his throat.
