MORTON (Special)

Services for Carrol Wynn, 79, of Morton will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Jenkins, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Lubbock's Resthaven Memorial Park under direction Ellis Funeral Home.

He died at 5:22 p.m. Monday in South Park Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Hollis, Okla., and moved from Brownfield to Morton in 1943. He was voted Senior Citizen of the Year in 1988 by the Morton Seniors Citzens. His wife, Nell, died Jan. 24, 1985. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Weldon of Morton and Kenneth of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Carrie Warren of Meadow and Agatha Lilley of Lampasas; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
