Charlie Mick, 81, long-time resident of the Galesburg community, died at 1:40 a.m., today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.M. Brodersen of Grace Chapel.

In failing health since suffering a stroke five years ago, Mr. Mick's condition had grown steadily worse since he was stricken with an attack of influenza near mid-December.

On July 9, 1890, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Holmes of Galesburg where the couple went to housekeeping. Mr. Mick, a farmer, spent the remainder of his life in Jasper county.
