Mary was born in Trondheim, Norway, and came to America at the age of two.
Mary died at home after a lingering illness. She married Peter on 9/22/1900 at New Richmond. They had two daughters: Viola (married to a Muenchow) and Mabel (married to a Gehler); and three sons: Norman, Arthur and Harris. Harris preceded her in death.
Mary also survived by a brother, Martin Nelson.
