George C. Miller, 85, of West, Texas, passed away late Wednesday evening, September 1, 2010 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Rev. Linda Wimberly officiating.
George was born in Alvarado, Texas, to the late George Edward and Bea (Neff) Miller. He attended Greenfield School near Alvarado. On September 27, 1997, he was united in marriage to Bernice B. Buird in Huntsville. He worked for General Tire & Rubber Company in Waco for over thirty-eight years until his retirement in 1981. George loved hunting, working with his cattle and tending to the garden. He was a member of West Longhorn Club and United Rubber Workers Union.
He is preceded in death by a son, George Michael Miller and his wife, Patty; brothers, Hubert Miller, Frank Miller and Robert Collins; and sisters, Bertha Dennis, Jessie Alder, Lucille Sowell and Alice Clements.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Bernice Miller, of West; son, John David Miller and wife, Sharon, of Plano; daughter, Pamela Sue Vaughn, of West; stepsons, Steven Eichert, of Corpus Christi and Larry Fuchs and wife, Theresa, of Huntsville; stepdaughters, Terri Moore and husband, Don, of McGregor, Denise Cox and husband, Guy, of Waco and Doreen Coonse and husband, Larry, of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; sisters, Juanita Roller, of Gainsville and Lyn Bailey, of San Antonio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
