Mrs. Evelyn Lambeth Thompson, resident of Heron Bay, AL, born January 20, 1919, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on July 19, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William "Fritz" Thompson; grandson, James "JJ" Johnson; great-granddaughter, Christine Bateman; great-great-grandson, Cade Johnson; mother, Virginia Covas; step-father, Henry Covas; father, Noah Lambeth; brother, Elbert Lambeth; sisters, Nora Lyons and Anna Seibert; beloved sons-in-law, Mitchell Johnson, Richard Johnson, and beloved daughters-in-law, Ellen Thompson and Melody Thompson.

She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Parish in Heron Bay for over 80 years. She received the Valentine and Christ the King Awards and was president of the Ladies Altar Society for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven children. She also leaves six generations of grandchildren, great-grand-children, great-great-grand-children, and great-great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church Community Center in Heron Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Monday from St. Michael Catholic Church, Heron Bay, with Reverend James Carlsen as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Tommy Zirlott, Christian McGallagher, Tony Thompson, Toby Thompson, Ben Thompson, Hank Thompson and Tem McGallagher. Mrs. Thompson's family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Saad's Hospice for their loving care.
