Services for Bertie Jane Neal will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2007, at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend B. G. Dyess officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, LA.
Mrs. Neal, 85, of Pineville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hineston and a former employee of Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville.
Mrs. Neal was preceded in death by her husband, Delton Neal; two sons, Robert Neal and Jerry Neal; parents, Oliver and Audie Townley Lafayette; and one brother, James Lafayette.
Those left to cherish her memory include one sister, Mertie Havens of Bridge City, TX; three grandsons, James Neal of LeCompte, Charles Neal of Pineville and Brian Neal of Natchitoches; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Neal of LeCompte and four great grandsons.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, March 30, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
