Alice G. Wood was born on Feb.13,1907, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of James C. and Hilda Norburg Godsil. She passed away early Sunday morning, April 29, 1979, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.She married Mr. John B. Wood in Davenport, Iowa, making their home following marriage, in Madison, Wisconsin, for a short period of time before moving to Fort Atkinson, Wisc. in April of 1941. Surviving are her husband, John; two sons,John,Milwaukee, Wisc. and Douglas, Chicago, Ill. Four granchildren. One brother, William Godsil, Galesburg, Illinois. Six sisters, Mrs.Clyde(Dolly) O'nion, Mrs,Eugene(Marge) Bradford og Galesburg, Ill;Mrs, Joe(Lucy) Ebner, Brownsville, Texas, Mrs. Rex(Jean) Olmsted, Toulon, Ill., and Mrs.James(Jessie) Bainbridge, Oquawka< Ill. Three brothers John, James, and Ed Godsil and one sister, Irene Epple preceeded her in death. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and it's fellowship. She also was a member of the Fort Atkinson Woman's Club. She was interred in the family lot at the Woodlaw Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois, on Wednesday, May 2, 1979. A memorial service was held at the Sellevold Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
