Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Bennet Halverson, 307 Bukolt Ave., who died at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Hospital.
Mrs. Halverson, 74, had been ill for two weeks.
The Rev. Stanley S. Kylve will conduct the funeral services, and burial will take place in Concordia Cemetery at Rosholt.
Friends may call at the Boston Funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday, and at the church after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Halverson, the former Cora Lystul, was born at Scandinavia on Dec. 9, 1885, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lystul. When she was six, the family moved to Portage County, settling in the Town of Alban.
On Oct. 22, 1907, she was married to Mr.Halverson, and the couple lived in Rosholt until 1931, when they moved to a farm near Galloway (Marathon County).
They had resided in Stevens Point since 1945.
Mrs. Halverson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, Kenneth, Milwaukee, Bert, Fort Smith, Ark., the Rev. Phillip, Pembina, N.D., and Noel, Hanna, Wyo.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Gene) Breitrick, Tigerton, and Mrs. Eugene (Esther) Crouch, Decator, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Miss Hannah Lystul, Town of Alban, and Mrs. Thea Samulson, Merrill, and a brother, Edward Lystul, Town of Alban.
