Mother of two sons, Charles Walter Ables and Jimmy Ray Ables. Grannie MeMah to 1 grandson Nathan Brody Ables and granddaughters Miriam Leigh Ables Hopkins, Margret Lynne Ables Antoine, Muriel Anne Ables Miller,Merri Lynette Williamson McCracken and Lori Denise Ables (Married name unkwown). She was born in Cross Plains Texas to Leona Elder and Henry Patterson, and moved to Ft Worth with her mother when she was a child. She went to Ft Worth Central High School where she was a majorette and graduated in 1936. She married fellow classmate Charles M Ables shortly afterward. When her huband returned from his service in the Navy they started their family...Charles, born in 1942, and Jaime Ray (Jimmy) in 1943. Charles M died suddenly at age 39, leaving her to raise their two sons alone. She supported her two boys by waitressing. She was known as "Snooks" to all who knew her. After many years of being mom and grandma, she left Ft Worth to return to west Texas---in a little town outside El Paso called Clint. She died in 1980 from cancer-related pneumonia.
