Walter Riedelsperger, age 85, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Thursday, September, 20, 2001 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL.
    Funeral services for Mr. Riedelsperger will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2001 at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Hinckley, IL with the Reverend Dr. Timothy Ashley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pierce Cemetery, Maple Park, IL.
    Friends may call from 2:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2001 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 141 N.Maple St., Hinckley, IL. A complete obituary will follow in Sunday's edition.

Walter Riedelsperger, age 85, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Thursday, September, 20, 2001 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL.
    He was born August 1, 1916 on a farm in Pierce Township, IL the son of Louis and Pauline (Pfisterer) Riedelsperger. Walter was united in marriage on March 25, 1950 at the First United Methodist Church in Sycamore, IL to the former Ruth Wellander and they spent the next fifty-one happy years of their lives together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
    Mr. Riedelsperger was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Hinckley, IL and was also a member of its Men's Club. Walter lived and worked on the family farm in Pierce Township. Upon his retirement from farming in 1979, he and his wife Ruth, moved in to the town of Hinckley. He was for many years a member of the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. Walter enjoyed dancing. He was also an avid traveler, spending many days in the South West and the South Pacific Islands.
    He is survived by his wife, Ruth Riedelsperger of Hinckley, IL; his son, Mark Riedelsperger on Hinckley, IL; his granddaughters, Rachelle, April and Elzona Riedelsperger; his sisters, Ella Wassmann of Hinkley, IL and Elsie Rissman of Shabbona, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Clara Ziegler, Florence Heyer and Martha Lyle;his brother, Ronald Riedelsperger; and a brother in infancy.
