Eugene E. Carpenter, 77, of Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at the center. He was employed by Self Help Enterprises for many years.
Mr. Carpenter was born March 23, 1933, in Redfield, S.D., the son of Edward J. and Elizabeth C. (Olinger) Carpenter.
Survivors include one sister, Patricia Mavity of Anderson, S.C.; one brother, Richard J. "Dick" (Shirley) Carpenter of Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Barbara Carpenter.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Garden Plain Cemetery, Fulton, with John Stern officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison.
A memorial has been established to Self Help Enterprises, Sterling.
