A native of Reidville, S.C., he was the son of the late Benjamin Layton and Bessie Ann Maltba Biddy.

The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Grover.
