Robert G. Cundith, 68, died Aug. 31, 2010, at his home in Sterling. He was born July 23, 1942, in Sterling to John and Eula Edwards Cundith. A lifetime resident of Sterling, he graduated from Sterling High School and from Emporia State University. He was a self-employed accountant and former partner of Pratt Livestock, Inc.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Sterling, treasurer and board member of Sterling Country Club and Lyons Town and Country club, member of Prairie Dunes Country Club, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, a U.S. Olympics supporter, past president of Sterling Chamber, charter member of the Sterling Preservation Association, and a longtime benefactor of the Prairie Art Show and Sterling College.

On May 8, 1964, he married Karen Ann Wilkey at Emporia. She died July 23, 2008.
He was preceded in death by an infant son David, and four brothers, Tom, Harry, Horace and Richard.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Presbyterian Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Seth Svaty officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be in Sterling Community Cemetery.
