The Robisons had moved to Bossier City, Louisiana, from Center, Texas, about 8 months before Trib's death. Mr. Robison was proprietor of the Little Palace Cafe on Cain Street, Bossier City. They were visting Mrs. Robison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Brittain of Center. "When the time came for them to leave Center for their home in Bossier, little Thomas cried and said he did not want to go home, but he wanted to stay with his grandparents. Mr. Brittain, grandfather of the little boy is a prominent merchant at Center."

Trib and "several companions were playing on the foundation of a cistern when it collapsed, crushing him underneath." The cries of his companions brought his mother and neighbors to his aid, and they carried him to a sanatarium but he was dead before they reached it.
