Alford P. Bowman, 90, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home Alford was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Lamar County. Alford and Virginia Bowman celebrated 70 years of marriage. The family would like to thank Edon Estates, Ray Of Sunshine and Golden Heritage Hospice. He was predeceased by his son, Connie E. Bowman. Survivors: Beloved wife, Virginia Bowman; daughter, Patsy Walker; two sisters-in-law; six nieces; four nephews; seven great-nieces; 15 great-nephews; 16 great-great-nieces; 27 great-great-nephews; 11 great-great-great-nieces; eight great-great-great-nephews.
