Gabriel James Billy "Sawjigwe" (Western Thunder) infant son of Charles Billy and Kelly Murdock-Billy passed away on August 31, 2010 at the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born on August 24, 2010, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Gabriel was a member of the Navajo Nation and a descendant of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas; the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and the Assiniboine Tribe of Fort Belknap.

Along with his parents, Gabriel is survived by his grandparents, Tom and Pat (Duncan) Murdock of Nella, Arkansas; Patricia (Goslin) Herrick of Horton, Kansas; and Lee Billy of Rehoboth, New Mexico. Uncles and Aunts: Chris Howell of Topeka, Kansas; Bart and Melissa Murdock of Greenwood, Arkansas; Sarah and Shane Davis of Parks, Arkansas; Emily and Scott Parkhurst of Cauthron, Arkansas; and Wendy and Rob Russ of Clinton, Arkansas; the Warrior/Main family of Hays, Montana; the Billy family, the Joe family, the Y. Begay family, and the Foster/Brown family of Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma; the Beene family of Tyler, Texas and the Snyder family of Jacksonville, Florida; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Kennekuk Church on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will follow at the Kennekuk Church Cemetery. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
