Youth Passes After Suffering Sudden Illness
Funeral services for Lloyd Carroll Allen, 17, who died early Sunday morning at Benevolent Society Hospital were held at the residence, 510 Sherman Street, at 5 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. W. F. Price officiating, assisted by Rev. E. N. Hart and Rev. Ira F. Hawkins. The body was shipped by Brown early this morning to the former home in York where burial took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
The parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. L. Allen, two brothers, David and Robert, survive.
Young Allen was apparently in excellent health until Saturday when he became suddenly ill. He was hurried to the hospital and failed to respond to treatment.
The family has been making their home here for some time. Dr. Allen is connected with Morgan County Health Department.
