ADAMI-SAMPSON, Mary Kate 49 of Townsend, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Massachusetts General Hospital after an illness. She leaves her husband Michael Adami-Sampson, four children Nicolas Adami-Sampson, Harrison Adami-Sampson, Sophia Adami-Sampson, and Christopher Adami-Sampson all of Townsend, her parents Robert and Nancy (Colbert) Sampson of Westminster, two sisters, Page Sampson of Glen Ridge, NJ, and Luess Sampson-Lizotte of Sudbury & severalnieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Kate was born in Fitchburg on March 16, 1961. She was a 1979 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School; she received her Bachelors degree from Harvard University, and her Masters from the Kennedy School of Government. Mary Kate was a expert gardener and an avid knitter. She loved skiing, Scottish Country Dancing, and singing with her family. She was an active member of the Voyagers Home School Co-Op. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at 1pm in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneral homes.net. 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA 01473. Calling Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, gifts in honor of Mary Kate may be directed to support the Melanoma Research Fund, under the direction of Dr. Donald Lawrence.
