ELLA FRANCIS BELL
Ella Francis Bell passed away at the Red Cross Hospital Jan. 12, after a paralytic stroke. She had been confined to the hospital several months and suffered several strokes.
Funeral services were held last Fri. afternoon at the Hoskins undertaking parlors. Rev. Large had charge of the services. Her favorite hymns "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Will There Be Stars In My Crown" were beautifully sung by Mrs. Jack Higdon accompanied by Miss Evelyn Greene at the organ. The pallbearers were George Gage, Norman Hoskinson, Lloyd Stonehouse and Wm. Adder. Interment was in the Oak Creek cemetery. She is survived by four children: Mrs. Gertrude McMillen, Lyons, Colo.; William Bell, Denver, Colo. and Jessie F. Bell, Oak Creek, Colo.
Ella Francis Bell was born in Fon-du-lac, Wis., Feb. 14, 1859. She came to Colorado when a young girl and remained in the state all the rest of her life. She was married in Canon City, Colo. Oct. 14, 1879 to John Bernard. To this union 5 children was born. Three of these died when small. Her husband died also in Canon City.
Years later she was married to W. A. Bell at Coal Creek, Colo. To this union two children were born. Her husband died in 1916 at Bear River, Colo. Ella Francis Bell has left a host of friends at Bear River and Mt. Harris, Colo.
While confined in the Red Cross Hospital in Oak Creek she made a number of new friends and was known by one and all as grandma Bell.
She attended the Congregational church regularly, until her health began failing three years ago.
