, 62 years old, died at 9:15 o'clock Thursday night in his home on Joplin route 3.

Born December 6. 1899, in Joplin, Mr. Arterburn had lived here all his life. He was a meat cutter and, before retiring in 1952 , had been employed at various markets.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Verna Arterburn; a son, Ray Arterburn of the home; two sisters, Miss Hazel Arterburn, 115 North Landreth avenue, and Miss Alice Arterburn of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Jess Arterburn of San Jose, and a stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Arterburn of San Jose.

Steve Parker mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Monday Afternoon


Services for Roy Albert Arterburn, 62 years old, who died Thursday in his home on Joplin route 3, will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in Steve Parker chapel. The Rev. Russell H. Ferry will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Homer Gray, Ralph Morris, Earl Meyers, Ray Karch, Homer Harden and Walter Harris.
