Mrs. Naomi Schmidt, a native of Westcliffe, died as the result of a heart attack at home in her chair Tuesday.
Born Feb. 3, 1885, Mrs Schmidt lived as a child in Custer County and after her marriage moved to Gardner. She and her husband moved to Canon City, in 1950 and to Florence in 1957. She was a member of the Gardner Methodist Church, Methodist Women's Society and Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie J. Schmidt, Florence; a son, Warren G. , Florence; a daughter. Mrs. Bruce N. Schecter, 1736 Alexander Circle; a sister, Mrs. Lilly Stephens, Florence, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services in charge of Burress memorial Chapel, Walsenburg, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Gardner Methodist Church and burial will be in Gardner Cemetery.
