Frances Louise Brock, age 93, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010, in Durant. She was born May 20, 1917, in Achille, Oklahoma, to James and Molly (Duckette) Scott.

Mrs. Brock known as "Grannie Brock" to everyone, knew that her greatest passion was taking care of her family, always wanting to know where they were and that they were ok. She was a member of the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting and being around her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Frances Guckian of Corpus Christi, Texas; Peggy Kirk and husband Richard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Nina George and Wilma Carlson both of Durant, Oklahoma; Son Stanley Brock of Blue, Oklahoma; Daughter-in-law (wife of Nig) Faye Brock of Durant, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Molly Brock; husband, Vernon O. Brock; daughter, Wilda "Sue" Brock; son, W.L. "Nig" Brock; 3 grandsons, Michael Edward Brock; Vernon Ray Guckian; Thomas Leslie Carter; great-grandson, Colton Sherrill; sister Anna Scott; 2 brothers Herman and Claude Scott.

Family Hour will be 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 29, 2010 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug 30, 2010 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant. Bro. Charles Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Williams, Woote Quarles, Ronnie Burns, Bill Jamison, Bennett Conditt and John Teel.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray in Durant, Oklahoma. Durant Daily Democrat
