Micah A. Gray Passes Away
Funeral services were conducted from the Howard Funeral Chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. for Micah A. Gray, 83, former Remington resident. His death occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.B. Shaw, Monticello, after a lingering illneess.
Born in Illinois, he was married to Letitia Powell, in 1894. Her death occured five years ago.
He was a member of the Presbyterian churh and of the Odd fellow lodge of Remington.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. J.M. Saunders of Lexington, Kentucky, Mrs. Lawrence K. Iliff of Rensselaer, and Mrs. B.B. Shaw, Monticello.
Burial was made in the Remington cemetery.

Funeral Services Held For Daisy B. Brown, 74, of Rensselear
Daisy Blanche Brown, 74, of Rensselaer, passed away at George Ade Extended Care, Brook, at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. She had been in failing health for six months.
Born in Remington on May 13, 1899, she was a daughter of Adelbert and Letitia (Powell) Gray. She was married to Donaldson Brown on July 23, 1965, in Rensselaer.
A resident of Rensselaer since 1943, moving there from Remington, she was a 1918 graduate of Remington high school, and a member of First Presbyerian Church, Rensselaer Garden club, Literay club and Senior Citizens club.
Surviving with the husband is a sister, Mrs. Fleta D. Sanden of Lexington, Ky. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Jackson funeral chapel, Rennselaer, with Rev. L. Wayne Smith officiating.
