Edwin C. Emberg died in his home on Perry Street at 7 o`clock this morning,14 June 1946, at the age of 49 years. He had been ill the past six weeks but his death came as a profound shock to his many friends here.
The deceased was born August 2,1896, in Punxsutawney, and lived and died in the same house in which he was born.
He was a son of Charles & Catherine Peterson Emberg and was united in marriage to the former Miss Alice Benson Sept 1, 1934.

He was a Brakeman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and was an active member of the West End Fire Company. He was affiliated with the English Lutheran Church and belonged to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

He is survived by his widow and the following
brothers and sister:
Mrs. Charlotte Quivilian of Buffalo, N.Y.,
and Oscar and Elmer of this city.
Funeral services will be held in the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o`clock. Rev. Elbert E. Oney, pastor of the English Lutheran Church will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery [Circle Hill cemetery].
