Alice "I.G." Emberg, formerly of Punxsutawney R.D. 1, died Saturday, December 23, 1995 at Blose-McGregor Health Care Center, Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Emberg was born March 7, 1911 in Punxsutawney, the daughter of John & Bertha Anderson Benson.
She married Edwin Emberg in 1935.
She was a member of the First Church of God.
She is survived by a brother, Oscar Benson of Punxsutawney R.D. 1; and four sisters:
Ann Cowan of Pittsfield,
Ruth Christenson of Columbus, Ohio,
Martha Emhoff of Punxsutawney
and Lillian Bumgarner of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Benson.
Funeral services will be held at the First Church of God.
The Rev. Ryan Chapman will officiate.
Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery in Punxsutawney.
Friends will be received at the Deeley Funeral Home of Punxsutawney. Friends may also call one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
