'Child' Kimball (1902-1902)
Thora (1903-1903)
Elizabeth married Harold Mason Kimball in Tombstone, Arizona on 10 November, 1927. They had three children: James Kendell (1930-1987), Thomas Steven (1934-1934) and Helen Mar (1936-1954). Elizabeth and Harold experienced sadness with their children. Thomas died the day following birth and Helen was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 18.
Elizabeth was a beautiful, kind woman who was generous to others. She loved her Mormon heritage and was faithful in her faith and service of Jesus Christ. Her husband preceded her in death. The last few years of her life she invited missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to use a spare bedroom in her home as their living accomodations. She alway had a kind word of encouragement for them. She frequently made 'more than she could eat' and happened to have it available to share.
In August, 1991 Elizabeth fell in her back yard and received an injury to her head. The injury caused her death within days. She was 79 years old. The world said goodbye to a wonderful woman on that day.
A special note of 'thanks' to Melissa Sanders for permiting use of photos she has taken for Nickerson family graves and Thatcher, Arizona Cemetery.
