Visitation was held at Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin on 15 Dec 1983. Masonic services took place that evening. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church in Hardin at 10:30 a.m. the following morning. Omar was buried next to his first wife, Letha Marie.
