Selma Emelie (nee Wilde) Steinberg Funeral srvices were held Tuesday, December 27, 1988 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, for Selma Emelie Steinberg, 97. The Rev. Norman E. Betke officiated and burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Rock Township, Mitchell County. She died Saturday, December 24, 1988 at Good Samaritan Center [in St. Ansgar] of natural causes.

She was born October 3, 1891 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand** Wilde.

On June 22, 1910, she was united in marriage to Emil Steinberg. They lived on their farm for 33 years. The couple joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1934. In 1960 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; four brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Laurina Perau of Osage; one son, Edwin of St. Ansgar; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor** Hinsman of St. Ansgar.
