Isaac Henkle was born in Hampshire co. Virginia now Pendleton co., West Virginia. He married Susannah Eaton/Heaton. They were the parents of Hannah, Ephriam, Susannah, Barbara, Jacob, Joseph, Christena, Regena, Servila, and Elizabeth Hinkle.

Isaac Henkle, a Lutheran minister, removed to Ohio in 1810 or 11 [old lettr of Reverand Moses Henkle and settled near Washington now Washington Court House, Fayette County, Ohio. His widow in 1820 Census of Union Township, Fayette County, Ohio.
The following land survey by Moses Henkle in Book A, page 19, recorded Pendleton, West Virginia for Isaac Henkle, Jr. [designated Jr. because his uncle Isaac Henkle, son of John Just Henckel, Sr., living in same vicinity]
[Survey A, page 19] November 9, 1789. For Isaac Henkle, Jr., three hundred twenty acres of land by virtue of a former entry of his father Jacob Henkel, deceased, lying on the south side of Allegheny Mountain and on both sides of Tigers Valley road between lands of Joseph Roy and Peter Shall.
[Deed Book 2, page 345 Recorded Franklin, Pendleton County, West Virginia] July 3, 1797. Deed Isaac Henkle and Susannah, his wife, one hundred twenty acres for one hundred forty pounds, to George Cutlip.
