In 1910, Jacob's mother, Nancy Engleman, was living with the family in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington. In 1914, Jacob was the informant for his mother's Missouri death certificate. His address was given as Rich Hill, Missouri. In 1920, Jacob, Abbie, and Christine were living in Osage Township, Bates, Missouri. The family, including Christine, were living in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, in 1930. Jacob was working as a barber at the time. Jacob "Jake" died 30 March 1934 in Benton County, Missouri. His death certificate reports his occupation as a retired merchant. In 1940, his widow and his daughter Christine Kraft were living in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. The 1958 Kansas, U.S., City and County Census Records, shows Abbie and Christine Engleman living in Kansas City, Kansas.
A memorial was published in the Kansas City Times (Kansas City, Missouri) 30 Mar 1935, p. 21, which reads, "In loving memory of our dear husband and father, Jacob T.
