Mr. Pansy "Pat" Meadows Gray, age 94, and wife, Lessie Allen Gray, age 94, of St. Joseph, Tenn., both died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, after brief illnesses.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 21, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, May 20, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery, Greenhill, Ala. Officiating minister will be Lon Pennington.
They both were born in Lauderdale County, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. Gray are survived by their children, Elton Gray, of Killen, Ala., Harold Gray, Loretto, Tenn., Rex Gray, Livingston, La., Billy Gray, of St. Joseph, Tenn., Marie Eddy, Lexington, Ala., and Nell Myers, St. Joseph, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gray is survived by his brother, Macon Gray, Lexington, Ala.
Mr. Gray was a farmer and a Baptist.
Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents, William Minton Gray and Tela Killen Gray; son, Jimmy Ray Gray; brothers, Gilbert, Ereskin, Jerry, Hollis, Mizel and Minton Gray; sisters, Frankie McLaughlin and Mamie Lee Glover; granddaughter, Debbie Gray; and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Roberts.
Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of St. Joseph, Tenn.
Mrs. Gray is survived by a brother, Gentry Allen, of Lexington, Ala.; sisters, Clayton Balch and Shelby Killen, both of Lexington, Ala.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, George Lonzo Allen and Lou Anna Stutts Allen; son, Jimmy Ray Gray; brothers, Seth Allen and Walter Allen; sisters, Dessie Griffin, Dora Pettus, Elive Crotts and Flora Wright; granddaughter, Debbie Gray; and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Roberts.
