Miriam "Mickey" Brewton Ashcroft died August 23, 2010 in Tallahassee. She was born June 18, 1924 in Mobile, Alabama to Bettie H. and Wilmer T. Brewton. The family moved to Tallahassee in 1925. She graduated from Leon High School in 1942 and married Murden "Mert" Morgan Ashcroft in 1943. Mickey was an active member of First Baptist Church and a Realtor for many years. She was predeceased by her husband; son Michael David Ashcroft; her parents; and sisters Lila B. Guerry and Jane B. Turner. She is survived by sons Thomas Brewton Ashcroft, Bainbridge, GA, and Franklin Huff Ashcroft and wife, Anne Ashcroft; grandchildren, Thomas Combs, New York City, NY, Michael, Jeffrey, and Allison Ashcroft; and niece, Betty Willard,and Terese, Tom, David, and Andrea Combs.
