Mrs. Jennie B. (Anderson) Wissing, 90, one of Lafayette's oldest residents, died Friday morning at the Home hospital, where she was taken a week ago after fracturing her hip in a fall at her home 1718 Purdue Street. A native of Sweden, she was born February 13, 1850, and came to America in 1880. Her marriage took place in 1885 and since that time she has lived in Lafayette. Her husband died in 1918. She was a member of Congress Street Methodist church for may years and was devoted to her church and charity work. She leaves one son, Fred Wissing, also two step-daughters, Mrs. Nettie E. Pease, of Lafayette, and Mrs. James Russell Clarke, of Rochester, N. Y. Friends may call at the Hippensteel and Funkhouser funeral home after 7 o'clock. Services there Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. O. B. Rippetoe and Rev. Paul Westburg officiating. Burial, Yorktown cemetery, south of Stockwell.
