Mrs. Elizabeth Heckard, widow of the late John H. Heckard, died on Friday at the
home of her daughter Mrs. George W. McMinn, of 1257 Willow Street, after an
illness of six weeks, duo to a stroke of apoplexy. She was 82 years of ago and
was a member of the Memorial U. B. Church of this city. She was well known
throughout the city and was highly esteemed by many friends, as she lived in
this city for many years. She leaves four sons: James, Samuel of Harrisburg;
Isaac and C. C. Heckard, of this city; four daughters, Mrs. J. N. Keister, of
Millerstown; Mrs. James Schott, of Cornwall; Mrs. John D. Hatman and Mrs. George
W. McMinn, of Lebanon, and one grandson, James C. Heckard. [Lebanon Daily News,
